Granddaddy

It is with great sadness that I have to post this. Yesterday, after a wonderful 96 years, Granddaddy went to be with the Lord. Words can’t even describe the respect that the four of us in this house have for Granddaddy: the active and independent life he lived, his service to his country, the self discipline he possessed and inspired, the integrity he lived everyday. He will be very missed.

Christmas preparations

Without all of the “extra” activities that happen in the month of December such as Christmas parties with friends, holiday parties at school, basketball games for both boys, field trips, etc, we have had a little more time to enjoy getting ready for Christmas as a family. I, for one, have loved it! Pretty sure the rest of the family is already sick of Christmas music though!!

We made Christmas ornaments – pretty good, eh?!

Making and tasting Oreo gingerbread houses

Mr. Wolford brought Christmas doughnuts on doughnut Friday! And if that wasn’t enough sugar, we made rice krispy treat trees!

And in our family tradition, Aiden and Court helped Scott pick up our Christmas tree in the Goat. The following night was met with hot chocolate, the movie Elf, and some serious Christmas tree decorating. Love this time of the year!

Fun while we can

With COVID cases in Charlotte on the rise again, I feel sure that the Governor is going to put us on a stay at home order again soon. So, we are trying to take advantage (while still being safe!!) of some activities while they are open.

Go Karts!

Court got a much needed haircut!
