First grade play

Today, the first graders at Sharon Elementary put on their very first play.  These kids have been working for months memorizing songs, dances, and lines.  They all had costumes and put on the most adorable rendition of “Dr. Seuss We Love You.”  Aiden was front and center of his class’s part and he rocked it.  So proud of him!  He hit every move and knew every song.  And yes, I was the sappy mom in the second row (only because the first two was reserved) with tears in her eyes!

Ms. Menard’s Class put on the Green Eggs and Ham portion of the play.  Aiden is in the back row, third from the right (orange shirt).

Baseball

This is the first year the boys have played in a real baseball league.  Court is in t-ball and Aiden plays machine pitch.  They have both loved it so far.  Scott and I were a little worried about the time commitment but I, at least, have actually loved watching them get dirty and sweaty at the ball park!

Thanks to Grandpa Wolford for all of these great photos!

Final Four!

We were so fortunate to get to go to the Final Four in Phoenix to cheer on the TarHeels.  A lot of people went to a lot of work to enable us to go, stay in the team hotel, have tickets and we are so thankful we got to be a part of it.  Needless to say, we’ve got some thank you cards to write!  Anyway, this is how our trip went down.

We were thrilled that Grandma Wolford got to come to Phoenix too!

We took in some sightseeing at the Phoenix Botanical Gardens which has so many cacti.  It was really beautiful.

We were all impressed with the butterfly garden. Zebra butterflies here.

These boys can make a playground out of anything!

We went to fanfest which is a huge convention center to celebrate all things basketball…and marketing sponsors of course.

Court and Aiden’s favorite was the Oreo “dunk” challenge.

As you can see in Court’s smile, he lost his tooth at half time of the National championship game.  What a cool memory right?  He ran right up to Odell Beckham Jr (an NFL player who is also a huge Carolina fan) and showed him his missing tooth!

Aiden made a whole lot of Carolina blue confetti angels!

And the tooth fairy found Court in Phoenix!  Court said it best, “This is the best night ever. We won and I lost my first tooth!”

Court and Cory

I have been meaning to post this photo forever and keep forgetting. Cory Shipman (his company is All Structures Design…free plug there)  is in charge of building our new house. He has done an incredible job. This man can literally fix or build ANYTHING! He’s incredible and a super nice guy to boot. Court like to “help” him out now and then. Even though Court slows Cory down, Cory lets Court help with every step and is super sweet. Maybe Cory will rub off on our little Toot.
