A bit of a narrative from our cheering encounters:

Me:  “Scott, you’re doing great! Do you want some water?”

Scott:  Head nods no.

Me: “How about a granola bar?”

Scott:  Head nods no.

Me:  “Do you want us to leave you alone?”

Scott:  Head nods yes.

Court:  “Did Daddy even look at our signs?”

The week of Court

Court turned 4 years old on August 24th.  Since his birthday was on a Monday and we waited until Saturday for his actual birthday party with his friends, we ended up celebrating him just about every night of that week. Man oh man did he LOVE it!  Everyday that week, he got a birthday present whether it was from us, grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts/uncles, or friends.  Totally, 100% spoiled.  Pop and Bubba celebrated with I’m on his actual birthday, Grandma and Grandpa the next weekend, Aunt Kimmie on Thursday with a dinner date to Chick-fil-a, and Mike/Cara/Lindsay/Ryan on Friday night.  Thanks for making him feel so special all week long.  Here’s to you Court-man!

Aiden’s First Day of Kindergarten

Aiden has had a wonderful start to Kindergarten.  He was a little nervous that he didn’t really know anyone in his class and that he had never been to his new school before, but he was super excited to ride the bus.  He said he didn’t think Kindergarten would be a big deal but he tells me everyday after school how much he loves it.  I don’t even have to ask.  He just started spilling the beans about who he sat next to at lunch, who he played with at recess, and (his favorite topic) who got in trouble at school that day. He has been a bit grumpy without that mid-day nap but we’re working that out.  He struggles to get up in the morning but otherwise, he’s going great.  Welcome to being a bid kid Aiden!

I promised Aiden that he could ride the bus the first week of school. Since he catches the bus at our new house (i.e. the one being renovated...not the one we currently live in), we had to get up super early! This is our obligatory first day of school photo.

The bus driver, Ms. Shea, is all business. She opened up the door, Aiden ran onto the bus, she shut the door, and the bus was gone. It happened so fast, I didn't even have time to shed a tear. This is the only photo that I got...of Aiden's foot getting onto the bus!

This was Court’s outfit to drop Aiden off at the bus.  Court was so sad on the way home from dropping Aiden off.  He couldn’t understand why Aiden didn’t go to Court’s school anymore. He was so quiet and pensive for about 10 minutes…NOT like Court at all! It was really sweet that he missed his big brother!
